Inspired by the Flips of old, this marriage will provide much comfort on a cold winters night. Rum, Banana, Maple and spicy chocolate notes are bound together with a whole egg.
45mls Dark Rum
40mls Hoppy Beer (such as a pale ale, ideally fruity)
15mls Banana Liquer
10mls Maple Syrup
2 dashes Spiced Chocolate Bitters
1 whole egg
Chill a wine glass and set aside.
In a shaker add all the ingredients and shake hard for about 10 seconds; then open the shaker, add ice, and shake again for 6-10 seconds.
Fine strain into your chilled wine glass and garnish with a grating of nutmeg.
Finally, enjoy either quickly or slowly.
